Meteor Electrical are one of the largest electrical wholesalers in Ireland selling fuses, tools, cable, distribution boards, everything you could possibly need for any electrical task you could imagine.
Having been recommended by one of our other long standing clients we were excited about this build as we transitioned them from a custom built platform to a Magento 2 website.
First-in-Class eCommerce Solution
Meteor already had a strong online presence across the whole of Ireland but decided that the site needed more functionality as well as a modern day facelift. After updating the branding a site design was needed that complimented the fresher modern look. Web Vitality did not disappoint and delivered a beautiful looking site that would stand the test of time and convert better than its out dated counterpart.
Search Lead Experience
It was important to Meteor that we improved the visibility of their products and improved the flow of traffic. Having researched the industry in detail we drastically improved the site architecture taking it from (in some cases) 5 tiers deep to just 3, making it much easier for site visitors to reach their desired products. In addition we also improved the standard search facility by serving better more targeted results as well as including a suggest drop down.
3rd Party Integrations
Being such a large company it was no surprise that they use 3rd party companies to run their business. After sitting down and understanding each integration and how they sit and function within the business we integrated platforms such as Sage 500 and Sugar CRM to allow them to continue running their businesses without interruption or multiple logins.
Split Shipments
Not standard functionality but quite often required. Meteor wanted to improve their split shipment process as they regularly need the ability to ship order items separately whilst still keeping track of accounts. Historically this was an arduous task for the client requiring lots of screen surfing and multiple orders. Having streamlined this process using our expert knowledge we were able to implement a system that allows one order throughout the whole flow that also ties in seamlessly with their internal CRM systems.
Bespoke Checkout Experience
Another one of our specialties is checkout flow. It was advised that the client should allow guest checkouts. The previous website did not allow this but it is our opinion that conversion rate will increase if an account is not required. As well as a bespoke checkout we also added a nice pop up before the process starts to give visitors the option in a clear and concise way.
